Amalfi Coast Tour Recommendation

My husband and I will be in in Sorrento for 3 nights this October. I would like to do a day trip to the Amalfi Coast. Any recommedations on a specific tour to use? I am intererested in a private driver or a shared boating ride and I am not sure which is a more preferrable way to see the coast .Most the boating excursions advertise swimming spots but I am also not sure swimming will even be a thing due to temps in October. Thank you for your help and guidance.

We are in the Amalfi Coast now. We used Mondo tours for private transport from Naples to Positano with a stop along the way to Pompeii. They were excellent. The private tours are pricey and Mondo does have shared tours from Amalfi as another posted suggested.

For our tour of the Amalfi Coast, we wanted to combine a typical tour with wine tasting. We used Wine Tours Amalfi Coast, run by Daniele, a sommelier: https://www.winetouramalficoast.com/. This tour was one of the highlight of our trip. For us, we were staying in Positano and we had a driver pick us up and drive us to Amalfi. The driver, Salvatore, lives in Amalfi. On the way, we stopped for pictures and a glass of Prosecco with our sommelier, Daniele. Then in Amalfi, Salvatore, showed us the best vista in all of Amalfi city along with the tiny little streets. We left Amalfi (about 1.5 hours to tour) and went wine tasting in TriMonte at a family winery. There we had the typical varietals of the region, toured the vineyard and had one of the best meals we had in Italy. Vegetables grown in the garden, housemade mozzarella and salami, along with pasta and Tiramisu. After the wine tasting, we went to Ravello and then back to our appartment.

It was pouring rain the entire time, but it didn’t matter as the hospitality was so warm and comforting. While we went from Positano, Daniele takes folks from Sorrento as well.

Hope this helps.

For a small boat tour along the coastline of Positano, Praiano, and on down to Amalfi, or to Capri, I would try Frankie Boat Tours. He has lived in Praiano (in between Positano and Amalfi) all his life and knows the hidden coves and swimming beaches so well.

I used Mondo Guide and dealt with Vincenzo. We have not gone to Sorrento yet as our trip is coming up shortly. But I first book this trip in 2019 and Vincenzo was great during the pandemic and again now that we rebooked last year. The website is below. He will pretty much put together whatever you want but we are doing the tours offered on the site with just a few modifications. The one tour to see the towns is a private driver but he mentioned he can also arrange to do them by boat. I get sea sick so I did the driver.
