Amalfi Coast tour in early November?

We are staying in Sorrento November 5th through the 9th, giving us three full days (6th,7th,8th) to explore. We want to travel the coast to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello but it looks like the tour companies no longer operate after October. Can anyone suggest how we can do this? I have read about the SITA bus, but it seems difficult to negotiate the public bus schedules etc. Thanks.

Terri, I have stayed on the Amalfi coast in both the months of October and November.
While several posts on this site tell you not to rent a car for this area I did so in November and found parking 200 feet from my hotel. Driving the coast was awesome even though I never surpassed 25 MPH. Buses from Sorrento along the coast are easy to take from the Sorrento bus station. Good luck.

We did this and more (in one day) with a private driver. I can recommend a great driver for the Amalfi Coast; Francesco Marrapese. His reviews are excellent as are his English and driving skills. He made excellent recommendations regarding where to stop along the way and even took us for a fabulous lunch to a town off the beaten path high up over the coast with incredible views. We saw SO much more than we would have on our own because we didn't have to worry about the logistics of getting from town to town. Francesco is incredible and shares really interesting information along the way. He drives a very comfortable Mercedes van and we loved our day trip along the coast with him. You can google him or I can send you his contact info tonight.

Am also making this trip but in Sept 2018.
Does the above itinerary (basing in Sorrento and daytripping to Positano and Ravello seem the best?) We were told Amalfi and Capri were better in terms of varied experience. As above, m interested in your opinion for 3 day trip. Thank you.

awerner1002, it might be best if you start a new thread with your question so the discussion doesn't become confusing. The month you'll be traveling will be different than Terri's where availability of transport is concerned (more ferries). Also state how many NIGHTS versus days you'll be staying, and where you'll be coming from as it could make a difference. Oh, and also if Pompeii is in your plan.

Thanks for the Francesco suggestion; I have e-mailed him. Just concerned that it might be too spendy for just the two of us; wish there were still some reasonably priced tours going.
