I might be useful to say (if this is the case) "We want the lowest possible cost for two persons, for a 6-8 hour tour."

I say that because (making all these number up), paying 110 Euros per person for two persons, and having to deal with other people in a full 8 or 10 person van, may not be worth the savings over paying 350 Euros for a private, air-conditioned Mercedes sedan, with a less-certified tour guide of a black-car "driver". I'm just trying to acknowledge some of the issues; We had our hotel concierge order a private car for us, and put it on our hotel bill. When the pleasant driver said, "Do you want to go to the pottery store?", we immediately replied, "Oh, do they have a bunch of rest rooms for tourists? Let's go there for the toilets, and we won't do any shopping at all."

We had 1.5 hours or so "free time" in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, and made brief roadside stops in three other locations. It was money well spent. Although traffic made us late for return to our hotel in Sorrento, he could not charge extra for a flat-rate excursion.
