Hi everyone! Wanting to take a trip from Copenhagen to Amalfi Coast next summer. I already know we can fly from Copenhagen into Naples. Here starts my questions.
1. How do we arrange transportation from Naples airport to Sorrento? There will be 3 of us.
2. Hotel recommendations for Sorrento? Hoping for one room to hold 3 people.
3. Where can I find tour guide for the area? We don't want someone every day but someone who can take us around 2 or 3 days and show us highlights.
4. Best way to see AC? From what I've read we should do a fairy or private boat.
5. What else is important to know?
Thank you so much!!

Here's where we stayed in Sorrento for 2 weeks in Spring 2023. https://www.sersalesuites.it/, we had the Positano Junior suite which has a bed and a sofa bed. Wifi is slow, but other than that we loved it.
No matter which method you choose to see the AC from Amalfi, you will have transportation challenges. We made two trips along the cost, one was a group tour with a driver from Mondo tours. I think there were 8 of us in the car. It was a 9 hour tpur, but because of traffic along the coast, 4.5 hours were in the car. The 2nd day we took a ferry to Amalfi and then a bus to Maiori to walk back to Minori via the Valley of the Lemons. By that time it was late in the afternoon and time to catch our ferry back to Sorrento.
*I'd highly recommend a day trip of even an overnight stay on Capri. We enjoyed it significantly more than the Amalfi Coast days.
We were there a couple of years ago without a car. We took a train from Rome to Sorrento that stopped in Naples so you could use that train line. We stayed 3 nights in Sorrento and enjoyed our time there. We did some walks and hikes and also had time for a day trip to Capri.
We used this book quite a bit for our hikes: https://www.amazon.com/Sorrento-Amalfi-Capri-Segments-Landscapes/dp/1856914933/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2DYJO7J8XGO49&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.JR0rlN12WzUOeo8_cispXQ.jiR74pgv5Iv6Kqy2ltnDhdxn9r2RqjL6iJYNrtsE2wo&dib_tag=se&keywords=1856914933&qid=1730046445&s=books&sprefix=1856914933%2Cstripbooks%2C145&sr=1-1
From Sorrento we took a bus to Amalfi Town and stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Residence in a room with a balcony overlooking the waterfront. The breakfasts there were really good. Lots of great walks/hikes in that area.
From Amalfi, we went to Salerno and got a train back to Rome. Since we wanted to catch a train at a specific time (because we had a flight out of Rome later that day) we arranged in advance for a driver to pick us up from our hotel.
Restaurants we enjoyed in Amalfi Town were Taverna degli Apostoli and Trattoria Da Maria
It's a beautiful area - enjoy it!
From the airport to Sorrento we took the Curreri Viagi bus company in April. It was a nice coach bus and cost around $10.00 takes about an hour. It’s outside the airport. Also weather was great we were able to take the ferry several days to Capri, Amalfi and Postiano
