Amalfi Coast/Naples- Boat recommendations?

Hello,
Traveling with a group of 4- we will be based in Naples (staying with family) for 5 nights. Would like to see Positano/Capri/the Amalfi coast.

Can anyone recommend a boat company to rent/do a day trip with? Or have any advice on itinerary, knowing we would prefer not to drive, but want to see those spots?

Thanks in advance.

raneyam, what time of year will you be traveling, and what sort of budget will you have? Would you rather do all this the most economically cost-wise or are you willing to spend considerably more for, say, a private driver for the coast?

Capri can be done by ferry from Naples but how many runs a day it'll make depends on season. Season may also be a factor depending on what you want to do/see on the island. Ferries do not run directly to the Amalfi Coast from Naples. Here's the CURRENT high-season schedule to Capri from Naples:

Positano, Amalfi Coast (Positano is part of that region) and Capri cannot be done in a single day trip but maybe you didn't intend to?

Editing to add: this option for the coast was suggested on one of your previous threads:

You might look into the "Amalfi Coast Full day from Sorrento" tour (by van, not boat) if there are any openings for your dates? It starts and ends in Sorrento but that would be easy - and cheap - enough by Circumvesuviana train from Naples.

Are you looking to hire a private boat with captain to take you where you want to go?

Thanks for the questions. We are going to be there Sept 18-23.

I know all those places might not be reachable in one day, but have several days flexibility. Would be interested in a private boat, depending on cost. otherwise, does anyone know if there are group boat trips? also, not necessarily docking on Capri, more interested in boating around the coast. thanks!

We took the ferry from Sorento to Capri, then arranged with Capri Whales di Wendy, located on the main street that faces the ferries/water. We arranged with then a boat ride around the island - we lucked out and saved a few $ by sharing the boat with another couple wanting to go at the same time. This was highlight of our 3 week trip!
