We will be visitng Amalfi coast in early June 2020. What is best direstion to travel. Naples- Sorrento - Capri - Positano - Naples. Pros and cons of daytripping from Sorrento. We don't mind changing hotels. I was thinking few days Sorrento, day trip Capri. Drive to Positano for a few more???? Any suggestions on a 2 week itinerary appreciated.

I based in Sorrento, and went to Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi/Ravello as day trips. Buses are pretty convenient. I would recommend staying at least a night in Capri, as I felt it was amazing in the mornings and evenings after crowds left. I hiked in the morning up to Villa Jovis, and was rewarded with some amazing views - would be difficult to do as a day trip. For 2 weeks, I think i would stay a few nights in Positano as well.. Plan on seeing Naples?

Lauri, you've had quite a lot of posts about traveling the A.C. over the past couple of years + some good advice offered for those. Did you not take the trip you had planned for April, 2017? What's missing from what you'd already been advised?
That said, 2 weeks is a lot of time to spend in this region, IMHO, and we're all going to have different opinions regarding an itinerary. For instance, Positano didn't trip our trigger for more than a day (done as a day trip from Sorrento) but I'd recommend staying on Capri for a few nights versus day-trip that one. Your itinerary should be based on the sorts of attractions and activites you're interested in; what are those?
Drive to Positano for a few more????
In June, I would NOT advise a rental car for this region.
