A light jacket would work well too, especially in the evenings or while taking boat trips to Capri or around the coast.

I never give women clothing advice here since men were told they had no business doing such several months ago - but what I will say is that my wife and I were plenty warm in Sorrento in April, and we found it our favourite time in southern Italy.

Where are you staying for your 9 days and why? My wife and i will be on the Amalfi Coast in April also and haven't decided where to sleep yet.

I am staying in Vietri sul Mare at Hotel Raito. That is the base but each day I will be going to different places. I am going to Ravello, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Naples, Pompeii and a few other places. I have been to Venice, Rome and Florence. Now want to see the Coast. Traveling with my college alumni group.
