I am heading to Amalfi Coast end of May/beginning of June this yera and wanted suggestions of a good book to buy ahead of time on the hiking trails around that area. Also welcome any suggestins of places to visit (was there in 2010 and 2012 so have been to Mt Vesuvis and Pompei now twice so looking for other adventures on days we are not hiking. thanks
"Walking on the Amalfi Coast" a Cicerone Guide by Gillian Price
"Walking in Italy" by Gillian & John Souter has several A.C. hikes
Rick Steves' Guide has a nice little stroll between Amalfi Town and Atrani.
We like Ravello a lot. Two great villas and a pretty challenging circle hike that I think was in one of these books. You can read about our trip here.
Thanks, Laurel.
Reggia di Caserta, Agropoli, Villa San Michele in Anacapri.
Thanks very much for the advice.
We hiked the "Path of the Gods". We started the hike in Bomerano and ended in Positano. There is lots of information about this hike on the internet. It was amazing!! If you like hiking it is a must. If you are going to Capri there are also great hiking trails there.
