Hi everyone, I'm deciding between two recommendations in Rick Steves Italy guide book for an Amalfi Coast driver. The Monetti Taxis or Francesco del Pizzo. I tried researching them on sites like Tripadvisor and Google but only really find a handful of online reviews for either of them. I'm sure if RS recommends them then they should be fine, but I just wanted to have a bit more evidence. Could anyone please help me? Thank you!!

We used Monetti Taxi a few years ago, and were very pleased with them. Rafaelle, the owner, was our driver, and he was pleasant to talk to, worked with where we wanted to go, and kept us on schedule so we could get to Paestum (our choice) for some time in the afternoon. He had an air-conditioned van that was comfortable. I can easily recommend the company.

Judging from the prices I saw in a Monetti van at the Sorrento station, they were not the rock-bottom low price but they were in line with others. We chose to use the land partner of our Sorrento hotel, and it was put on our hotel bill.

On the recommendation of a friend who used Francsco del Pizzo for a tour of the Amalfi Coast last year and thought he provdied great service, we have booked him for a drive along tha Amalfi Coast and a stop at Pompeii. He responded quickly to emails and his responses were alwasy very helpful and pleasant.
