Hi all! We are spending 5 nights in the Amalfi Coast, and we are looking at staying in Nerano. Is this a good location to stay, specifically for day trips? Any advice, recommendations, or comments are welcomed. Thank you!

There isn’t much in Nerano. You might want to stay in a town such as Amalfi, Positano, Minori, or Maiori, where there is more going on, and more restaurants and shops and transportation options. Nerano isn’t even part of the AC, but on the peninsula. There are hikes you can do from there, but you won’t actually be experiencing the Amalfi Coast.

I would also try to stick with a town that has easy access to ferries (or at least the terminus of a bus line) so you won't be completely reliant on buses that may or may not be full. I HATE taking the bus on the coast, especially since the ferry is so pleasant. Atrani has been floated around on the boards for a quieter yet accessible spot as it's only about a 15-20 min walk along the road to Amalfi where you can pick up the ferry or a number of buses going in many directions.
