Amalfi Coast

I would say to potentially consider seeing these places as a do-it-yourself trip in addition to a tour. They are pretty accessible IMHO. I went as a solo female traveler in my early 30s and found it easy to get around (I did speak Italian though, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary). Sorrento is a good base for a day-trip to Pompeii - I would budget several hours (I could have spent the whole day there, it was really interesting). Herculeum is also interesting and not as heavily touristed as Pompeii. Naples is intense but grows on you if you give it some time - a short stint may give you overload and a day trip is too short to see the many fine sites. Cities along the Amalfi Coast are lovely and easy to reach by bus that runs down the coastline (it was not super crowded when I went, although that was many years ago in September). Hope you have a great trip! I wish I could suggest a tour but I prefer independent travel (so I'm not sure what companies would provide a good 7-day tour).
