Amalfi Coast and Capri

My wife and I are looking for a slow 4 days and 3 nights in Italy at the beginning of June (we are leaving from Berlin after almost a week there and want something very much change of pace from the city). We are thinking about the Amalfi Coast and/or Capri. Are 3 nights on Capri too much? Can you stay in Positano for 3 days or do you really need to visit some of the other towns? We are looking for a relaxing, do-nothing type of trip. Thanks.

For doing nothing any place in Italy works. Three nights is not a whole lot for any areas. Capri or Positano are both nice. I generally prefer Positano because I can more easily visit other places in the area. Capri is an island so you are..well, isolated. But it's up to you, Capri is nice and relaxing and for doing nothing, it would work too.

Positano is a better choice because Capri is a very small island unless you don't want to explore anything else. So to do nothing Capri is great. I will also recommend Sorrento as a base to see the other towns of the Amalfi coast. Positano is very steep and keep in mind you will not be able to walk anywhere without going up or down stairs. Sorrento is flatter ground.
