Amalfi Coast 4 nights in June

Hi friends

We are starting our travels on the Amalfi coast in June for 4 nights.
I like the idea of 2 night in a whiter village - Prainano , for some nice restaurants & a boat trip from nearby.
2 nights in Ravello, walk the path of lemons and enjoy the views and quiet at night. Is this too adventurous booking 2 nights in both. I know it’s going to be hectic
Any other suggestions on a better way to stay would be greatly appreciated. We are then heading to Sicily for 7 days

I would not stay in Praiano; as far as I know, unless something changed, there is no ferry landing there. And buses do not originate there so they will be packed once they reach that stop.

With four nights, I would not change hotels-you will lost too much time doing this.

Think about staying in Amalfi so you can get the bus, or take taxi, up to Ravello to walk around or to eat.
I've stayed in various towns and I think for a first trip, Amalfi is a good choice.

Would you consider staying in one of the less touristy towns? We mainly read here about Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Ravello. There are quite a few other towns to stay in.

Imho, the net gain by staying in two different towns wouldn’t be worth it. Once you’re on the coast, the transportation options/time are roughly equivalent. If you’re looking to get around, especially to Ravello, the Amalfi is a solid choice. It’s a bit more lively, but you can find some quietness. Atrani is a short (though nervy) walk up the road. I enjoyed Atrani a lot. It has a small sand beach, and really felt very local and authentic small town (certainly compared to Amalfi). It’s nice because you get the logistic advantage of Amalfi without staying in Amalfi.

By your description though, Minori or Maiori might be exactly what you’re seeking. I don’t think you can go too wrong here, every place has its strong points.

I was in Amalfi in November, so not in the middle of tourist season. Loved it. Hotel Fontana right in the center of things, by the bus depot and ferry port and ticket offices. Had the most incredible breakfast buffet.
staff was fabulous. Extremely easy bus transpo and even ferries, even in November.
