Amalfi coast

What are your interests, time of year you’re going, budget, ability to hike stairs, etc?

We once spent a week in Sorrento, going each day to a different place. With four full days I would stay in Sorrento and allocate one day for Naples, one for Pompeii, one to Amalfi Town touring the coast by bus, and one relaxed day in Sorrento itself.

We like Salerno because then you have easy access to several different places - Positano, Amalfi Town, Pompeii, Paestum, etc.

This must be the same April trip as the OPs other threads.

It's hard to recommend a place unless we know what you want to do once you're there. But I agree that either Salerno or Sorrento (not actually on the AC) give you the most transportation options for day tripping.
