Trying to decide which to chose for a week in July. Any suggestions? Pros and cons of each? Thanks in advance.

They are so vastly different, but a difference that might be a deciding factor would be heat.

Puglia is probably not where you want to be in mid-summer. Definitely go for the Alto Adige, and stay up in the mountains. Bolzano and Bressanone are lovely places, but they can bake in the summer. You need altitude.
