looking for an alternate vendor to get Vatican tickets for October. The official site does not have them available on the 3 days we're (2) in Rome. I tried Skip the Line, Evening, and guided. Will research later, just hoping YOU can save me time.
Tickets are only available through October 15 as of today. If you are trying to purchase tickets after October 15 you will have to wait for the dates to be released. All other dates in October are showing availability.
As the previous poster mentioned, they only release tickets approximately 60-days out, so if you are going after October 15th, they are not available yet. Just wait until your date is released.
If you are going before 10/15 and they are sold out, then just go in the afternoon once in Rome. There usually is no lines to speak of (or at least this was my experience).
October is still high season in Rome but the lines to the Vatican museums should be shorter in the afternoon. If you can't get tickets online just show up and buy them onsite, though I have to say I've never seen admission tickets sell out. I guess it could happen but it's something I've never seen. Perhaps, as others have suggested, you're trying to order too early. Donna
