Hi! I'll be picking up a rental car from the Rome CIA airport on a Monday morning in April and driving to our agritourismo near Montepulciano. We have time to wander along the way and I'm curious what recommendations you may have for stops/areas of interest en route? Grazie!

Orvieto and Chiusi are likely right on your direct route. A bit of a detour will get you to Civita di Bagnoregio

If you have time then take the Via Cassia (SR2) instead of the A1 freeway. It will take you 4 hours plus pit stops but it will be much prettier.
