All Saints' Day (November 1) in Florence

As luck would have it, we are going to arrive in Florence in the morning of Monday, November 1 this year. We're going to stay for a night, so we have half of the next day to sightsee if needed. I know some museums close on Mondays, but since we're not really art lovers, we don't really mind. Other than that, what will it be like during that holiday? Big crowds? Will businesses and restaurants open at all? Any other gotchas?

I don't know about Italy; but I do know that in England and France, schools have an entire week off at that time. You might find hordes of families from those countries, as well as school groups crowding every site. I would definitely have hotel reservations in place.
