Hello,

Can anyone shed light if this hotel is closed or not open to response via email or phone call? I made a reservation last December and need to update. I could not find how to do this directly on their site where I booked so I’ve emailed them. I received a response from them before Christmas last year, inquiring about a room with them saying I could book online or via booking.com. I have emailed many times now from their site, doubled checked RS book address and now just called today. The phone wasn’t picked up, rang thru but no VM set up either.

It’s a bit frustrating and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I suspect the hotel may be closed until April. I went to booking.com and tried quite a few one-night bookings in February and March. I got a no-availability message, and the website didn't present alternative dates until I tried for a reservation in late March. At that point, it offered availability in April.

If you're trying to change the dates of your reservation, I'd be tempted to make a new, fully refundable reservation for the dates I needed, to be sure they don't sell out all their rooms before you're able to get in touch with them. If you make the reservation on booking.com, you'll be able to message them through that platform about what you really need. You may have better luck getting a response that way.

Thank you for your response.

Normally I like to book with the hotel directly and I thought since I did see a response from them in December about booking that there would be one now or at least an auto note indicating when they would respond. Hotel du Lac has responded, yet they did mention they are not open to accept reservations yet. We will continue to be patient.
