Al Gatto Nero Da Ruggero and Burano

Is Al Gatto Nero Da Ruggero worth the trip to Burano? We aren't into lace and was thinking of taking the 40 minute boat ride to Burano to see the colorful house, but to have lunch at this restaurant which we heard has the best seafood. However, we have little time and don't know if we should make this trip? If anyone has any information on the restaurant of trip, please let us know. Also how much is the ferry ride to Burano and back. Thanks!

We had a full day the day we arrived and then used the next day to go to Burano and Murano. We bought a 24 pass at 10Am and used it to go to the islands, rode the grand Canel when we returned and used it the next morning to go to Piazza Roma to get our car.Having a full day in Venice made it OK to go to the islands. However if you dont have a full day in addition I would skip them.

You can get to Burano and back for the price of two vaporetto tickets - they are waterbuses, not ferries.

If you're pressed for time, I wouldn't make the trip. It takes a while to get to Burano and, while it's pretty, there's not much there if you're not into lace. Burano is worth the trip if you're in Venice for four or more days.
