Please advise on the best way to get from Malpensa airport to the central train station in Milan. Many thanks for your tips --this is my first trip to Italy.
Susie,
There is a shuttle bus from Malpensa to the central train station in Milan. From there you can take a taxi, bus or walk where you will. Look in your travel guides for more specific information, but I found it easily even tho I was groggy from jet lag.
Yep, the bus into town is a piece of cake. If you're confused once you get off the plane, follow the mass of humanity to the exit. Ask a guard along the way if you want confirmation. Just say "Autobus per Milano?" and go where he points.
It's a shuttle between airport and train station, so no stops along the way to accidentally get off.
Susie: Just adding to what the others have said: it's about 30 miles from the airport to the train station, and the trip usually takes about 50 minutes once the bus leaves the airport.
