Airport Strike Effect on Arriving Flights

There is a nationwide airport strike for ground staff on June 26th, which is when I land from an JFK-MXP American Airlines flight at 9:00 (adding insult to injury, Milan's public transport is also striking, so I'm looking at alternatives to the Malpensa Express like the Malpensa Shuttle).

Does anyone have experience with the effects such a strike will have on arriving flights? I understand that it could affect the length of time for jetbridges, baggage retrieval, and other services, but any insights would help.

I was also unclear whether the "protected" time slots of 07:00-10:00 includes arriving flights or just departing flights. Thanks for any help!

I would call your airline. My only experience of this was when I had a connecting flight cancelled —with zero notification —due to a baggage handling strike. Knowing the reality and the options from the airline is the best strategy. Good luck!

Protected has included arriving for me when it happened. This was in Rome but I landed in the guaranteed window.
