Has anyone used the Airport Shuttle Service (http://www.airportshuttle.it/) from Fiumicino airport? This is a shuttle service that charges 25 euros for the first passenger and 6 for an extra passenger.
(We arrive after an early morning flight, we'll be tired and we want door to door service to the hotel...)
I've read some good reports but I want to make sure before paying up front.
Thanks.
I've not used this service but if they're like others it won't be door to door, it'll be door to door to door. You'll share the shuttle with lots of other people all needing to get to their hotel. You could be first- you could be last. If that doesn't matter to you then you should book it.
For 9 euros more you can take a cab (fixed rate) if your hotel is within the city walls and for a few euros more you can hire a private company like romecabs.com. Make sure to get an official cab at the cab rank outside the terminal. Mention the fixed rate to the driver.

Anybody use Rome Shuttle Limousine service?
It would be better to have your hotel arrange a ride from the airport. It's a 40 Euro flat rate (up to four people)+ 1 Euro for each large bag. This will insure that you get door to door service.
We just used Rome Cabs. They were awesome. Great price; great service.

Taltul - We used Rome Shuttle Limousine a few times a couple of years ago and were very happy with the service. We didn't have to pay in advance. At the time there were several good reviews on TripAdvisor - maybe check there to see if there are current reviews.
We used this shuttle service for our trip this past March. We were a group of 6 so it was priced right for us. It is a shared service so we waited about 20 minutes for other travelers to check-in for shuttle. We were the first ones dropped off at our hotel so I would'nt know how long it took for last passenger to be taken to their hotel. We would use this service again if we have a group larger then 4.
Thanks everyone. We decided to use Rome Shuttle Limousine.
