Has anyone been to the airport in Parma? I am thinking of flying into Rome and/or Naples because I have a friend in Naples. Spend a couple days. Then I want to go to Parma and Cinque Terre, and fly home from Pisa (it's easiest to get to JFK). Or should I take a train from Naples to Parma? I'm not sure of the distance.I have 2 weeks. Any ideas?

Train from Naples to Parma is 5.5 hours station to station time, add for getting to the Naples station, etc. For the distance and location of Parma, go to Mapquest or Google Map. I don't see any discount airlines that fly from Naples or Rome to Parma, the Parma airport is not that big in terms of places that fly to it.

Alitalia flies from Naples to Parma, but there's a connection in Rome and it's an expensive flight. Train is a better option.
