After arrival and luggage pick-up, I have reservations at Barcelo Aran Blu. How do I get there? Taxi? Cost? Shuttle bus?

From the hotel website: " 25 min by car from Roma Fiumicino airport (FCO) " So, looks like a cab unless you rent a car.

priscilla, The Hotel doesn't provide a lot of useful information on their website, other than the distances. In the same situation, I'd probably send them an E-mail for suggestions. The easiest and quickest method (especially after a long international flight) would probably be to use a Taxi (although it likely won't be cheap). It would be a good idea to have the Hotel address and other information on a sheet of paper (in Italian) to show the Taxi driver. Good luck and happy travels!

On Trip Advisor, I've read 15-25 mins by car (and taxi). Or, train-and-bus combo. Three years ago, there was a shuttle...no mention of it since. But...I want to be sure you know exactly where ths hotel is...as in, nowhere near Rome. I don't want you to be disappointed.

I cancelled that reservation and made one near "The Spanish Steps".

priscilla, The new Hotel won't provide the beach access, but transportation should be a lot easier. Have you determined how you'll be getting to your new Hotel from the Airport?
