In Sorrento, we really liked Hotel Antica Mura. Very convenient location, nice people, great breakfast.

Sarah, both airlines have good reputations for comfort and service. Timeliness is sometimes not up to the airline.

My friend flew Swiss to Zurich a couple of years ago and still complains about the miserable size of the seats. And, she's a fairly small person. According to her, it was worse than economy class on other carriers. That was a flight from SFO, so maybe it depends on what aircarft they use for different routes.

I fly BA from LAX to Milan and have found them generally pretty good
