airline size alcohol bottles

Remember the little bottles of alcohol??? We really enjoy a specific brand of vodka that the airlines do not carry. Do you think these bottles will pass through security in the zip-lock bags??? We are not talking lots of bottles...just a nip or 2 before shutting our eyes for the long flight.

As long as the volume in each bottle does not exceed 3-1/2 ounces they should be ok. You are limited to only one quart-size baggie, tho. You may want to consider leaving your makeup and shampoo at home so you can carry more of those little vodka bottles.

Not to be a buzz kill but on a USAir flight 2 years ago, the couple next to us were scolded like children by the flight attendant for bringing their own nips. The couple "just didn't know" that was not allowed. So cover your tracks!

The mini bottles are 50ml and would certainly fit in your plastic liquid ziplock. Per the previous post, I'd be discrete about "spiking" your drink or taking a nip.

I'd think it might depend on the TSA at your departing airport. I know the airlines want to sell you their drinks.
If your airport has dutyfree, you might find it easier to buy some for carryon but you still might have an issue with the Flight Attendants.

Well, I am packed and ready to fly. I will let you know if I was able to bring my favorites on board. Discretion is always needed!

As hinted above airlines forbid you bringing your own. It will depend on your proclivity to defy authority.
