Airfare SEA to VCE price

Is $1380 a reasonable price for airfare Seattle to Venice in late July?
The flight I'm looking into is Delta, 1 stop in AMS-Economy Main (SEA-AMS)-Europe Economy (AMS-VCE).

Thanks,

No one knows what airfares will be in July 2026 as jet fuel prices fluctuate and are a big factor. Generally, though, the best international airfares can be found between six and seven months prior to the departure date.

You might want to wait until December or January to score the best airfare between Seattle and Venice for July 2026.

www.Skyscanner.com will show you airfares and schedules, You also can sign up for airfare price alerts to be notified by e-mail when airfares on routes you’re interested in have dropped.

From Minneapolis to Italy on Delta, I'm happy with a flight $1100-$1200, economy, main. I have found lower. We don't travel in the summer, and I believe, airfares to Europe are in higher demand and pricier in summer. For me, I think it's a bit early to book, but no one can really say. I'd be inclined to stalk for a while.

Thank you.
Good to know.
I tend to book my flight early and I've been able to get grab great price (about 1k or less). I usually fly with Iceland air.
But never to Italy though. I expect price will be higher to Venice, than to Milan or Rome.

hey hey Holly
these days don't know reasonable anymore. as mentioned price of fuel/gas and time of year (summer is high season with higher prices). keep an alert up, look if there will be black friday specials.
i'm always on the lookout for a decent fare, i got 2 WOW moments.
flew american airlines SFO-LEX-SFO first of august $689 to see my oldest niece for her 53rd birthday.
next trip, southwest OAK-PDX-OAK first part of november $569. to say i was stunned is an understatement. i just looked on the bright side, going to visit my niece and husband near beaverton for her 51st birthday & be treated like a princess LOL
it all depends what people feel comfortable with the cost and flight times/layovers to suit your fancy.
hope all works out for you, enjoy venice
aloha

For some airlines, like Delta, for most fare classes (except basic economy) you can request a fare adjustment if the price for your purchased flights goes down (keep a price alert set on the flights in Google flights so you know the fare has gone down). The huge caveat is the adjustment is made in airline credits only (not cash) which have an expiration date. And the refund applies to each person individually and not the person who paid for flights (I paid for someone else's ticket, but they got the credit). If you bought refundable fares you could just cancel and rebook at the lower fare.

That fare seems high to me as someone who flies PDX-AMS and onward pretty often. I myself would probably keep tracking fares a bit longer and see if there are price reductions after Thanksgiving and Christmas. FWIW I booked my August 2025 tickets in February (PDX-LHR and CDG-PDX) and they were $1150 each in regular economy. I got an alert the price came down $200 each ticket in March and I requested credits. The price fluctuated frequently after that but not very much. YMMV.

I actually just booked our flight. Lufthansa economy flex, transfer in Frankfurt for 1175 each, not bad, I think for SEA-Venice in August.
