AirBnB scams?

I found two separate listings for places to stay in Rome with nearly identical photographs. Has anyone else encountered anything like this? Or has anyone noticed scams?

Nope, sounds fishy to me. I wouldn't risk it unless one of the units pictures has been verified by airbnb, meaning an airbnb rep came out and took the pics themselves. If the pics arent verified, it could be very similar units in the same building but its not something I would risk ruining my trip over. Contact airbnb about it and see what they have to say if only to get them to investigate and get scammers off their site.

Could the person have two rooms available in the same apartment or house and is just using the same photos? Or are both listed as entire apartment? I was looking for places in NYC and some people with a home may have a few rooms available for rent so most of the photos of the home are the same, just the photos of the bedroom are different...but they'll have two different listings for the two diff rooms...

And of course if these are places that are in different parts of the city, then yeah, there is an issue...make sure to read the reviews!

I found my room in Verona on airbnb. The couple had a building with several rooms, all pretty identical, and all the same pics on all their sites. Maybe it was easier to just copy one listing to another? Definitely look for verification and reviews!
