My wife and I are looking to base ourselves in Bologna for 3 weeks late September 2025. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you
I would avoid those managed by the corporate "Wonderful Italy Emilia Romagna," as they're unresponsive jerks who promise stuff they don't deliver. Unfortunately, they were all we could find to suit both our requirements and budget.
Now that I've ranted, you will love this city. Very cultured, excellent food, and lots of history. Don't miss the first anatomical theater in the western world.
Thanks for the heads up
My husband and I thought this place was great for a long stay, but it might be too big for you with two bedrooms and two bathrooms --- however, it has a real dryer (very rare) and was very easy to live in because it is the host's own apartment (he travels for work): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21986732?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=48665fde-2694-4390-ad0d-bd7321fb1e90
Another place we've enjoyed staying in when visiting Bologna --- it's smaller but also pretty perfect: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/411523?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=8b6530d3-3ca9-4866-8679-e545287a719b
We rented an apartment in Bologna through TripAdvisor. The apartment was very nice.
Try contacting host Luca directly through this website. We stayed 5 nights in the Bright and Peaceful apartment and thought it would be comfortable enough for a multi-week stay. He may have this on Airbnb, too, but we booked direct through his website.
