Please share the best way to travel from Catania, Sicily to Florence, Italy. I am planning a trip for 2022 and I am having trouble finding non stop air travel. Is there limited airline service? Must we fly into Pisa and then take the train? Please help?
Looks like Air Dolomiti could have upcoming direct flights, once per day, departing Catania at 6:55 PM, arriving Florence 8:35 PM.
Otherwise, is Pisa to Florence by land worse than going from Catania to the Palermo airport by land, for a Palermo departure on Vueling later at night?
Vueling also has a direct flight but I think with reduced schedules due to the pandemic the number of flights has been curtailed and, as normal travel resumes, you might see more flights returning to schedules.
There are also direct buses from Pisa airport to Florence. But there is really no way of knowing what the airlines schedules will look like in 2022.
Check Ryan Air and Easy Jet as it gets closer to 2022.
