Has anyone used air one before?
I have never heard of this plane company before.. thanks!
I believe it is Alitalia's attempt to get a low cost air service started. Remember TED?
what is TED?
TED was United (get it? last three letters of the name), which United gave up on in 2008 and merged back into the main organization. It had no 1st class seating and was meant to compete with Southwest and Frontier. Air One is also part of Alitalia's frequent flyer program.
I would check their website for their specific baggage allowance.
We flew with them a few years ago between Rome and Palermo, then return again from Catania. Our experience was good.
This was just prior to the Alitalia merger.
We flew Air One from Rome to Catania and back again a few years back. Very satisfactory experience.
Sam is correct. It's a low cost regional carrier part of the Alitalia group (think of Southwest in America, just a smaller company). No direct experience by my friends in Italy have no complaints.
thanks so much!!
thanks so much!!
Thank you for the correction. Air One is indeed now codeshared with SkyTeam partners.
