Air Conditioning in the Uffizi and Academia?

I don't remember whether there is AC in those museums. The reason I am asking is that it will affect the time I book the reservations. Thanks!

There is AC especially for the paintings.

For sure there is AC at the Uffizi. Last year the AC broke on a very hot day, and the news was all over "La Nazione" (Florence's daily newspaper).

Thanks! Tee last time I was there I remember being really hot in the Vatican (so I know that it is not air conditioned), but not at the Uffizi and the Academia.

Yesterday in some of the rooms ( the most popular) at the uffizzi it was VERY hot since there were so many people in them. The rest were fine.

Hi there,
Both the Ufizi and the Academia are air conditioned. In some hallways, it might be a bit warmer due to larger crowds. The largest crowd is usually at the security check point, so expect the area to be definitely warmer.

They are definitely air conditioned, but I found that in Italy they seem to set their temperature a bit higher. So, if our buildings are set at 72, I get the sense theirs is set at 78 (which then feels a bit more stuff with the crowds).
