I am planning a trip to Venice and the Albergo Guerrato was full. They recommended the Ai Do Mori hotel. I went to that website and it said you recommended them as well. However the Ai Do Mori hotel is not in your book. Do you recommend them?
We will be there on the weekend of the historic regatta race in Sept. Does that race go on the Grand Canal and can we get from the train station to the hotel by vaporetta while the race is going on?

Hi Karen, I sent you an email as well as this. Just be careful with some of the places around that time because when I was looking some had doubled their prices ( one place by 400 euro !!! ) The race is on the Grand Canal but I am not an expert here at all. Try asking on the Rick Steves "contact us". There are some pretty knowledgeable people on this site that will probably give you some advise. Steve was a great help to me for Venice.

The race is on the Grand Canal.
Parts of it are closed during the actual races, but there are many races in the regatta,.
You can walk from the train station to San Marco in twenty or thirty minutes.
