My husband and I and another couple are going to northern Italy next November. Has anyone stayed in a farmhouse near Verona to Parma? We would like a private apartment if possible. Also, is late November a good time to visit Milan, Venice, and Verona because of the weather?

Try Agriturismo Bartolini, north of Mantua and about 30 minutes from Verona. We had a wonderful experience there: excellent rooms, very good food, and fabulous hosts.
