We are traveling to Italy in late October. Here in Canada we are invovled in Agriculture and would LOVE to stay on an authentic farm while in Italy.
I'm looking for recommended Agriturismos in Tuscany - fair price, authentic farm, great people, beautiful location.
I've searched the web and there are SO many choices.
Any sugestions?
Thanks!
We are leaving today for Rome. After Rome we are going to Tuscany--staying at LaCrociana near Montelcino. The people have been a delight to work with so far--it sounds great with great room rate also. Will let you know after our visit.
April,
La Crociona is a great choice but hurry and book because it gets filled around the sagra http://www.montalcino-tuscany.it/sagra_del_tordo.htm
thanks for the advice -- I assume the celebration is for All Saints Day. The weekends events sound great! It would be an awesome experience to be part of the towns celebrations.
April: Do a search on "Cretaiole" and check out the reviews on Tripadvisor and you'll see why we love this agriturismo. Pienza is a wonderful location...the Val d'Orcia is breathtaking. And the Moriccianis are the most wonderful hosts you can imagine.
