Agriturismos

I know there's a whole section on agriturismos, but I think we will only be spending 2 nights at an agriturismo. Does anyone know if any agriturismos lik Ag. Creatiaole that doesn't have a week long environment that still has family style dinners and cooking classes?

It depends on when you will be traveling. Two that I've stayed at had less than a week stays availalbe but not in summer and neither of those had cooking classes or family dinners.

I just reserved a place at an agriturismo ("Villa Sant' Uberto") in Chianti and I found lots of places that will reserve 2 or 3 nights. We're staying for 3 nights & didn't have a problem.

Go to the TripAdvisor website and search for places in Tuscany and Umbria. Choose the B & B catagory and you will have lots of luck. They are often working farms or vineyards & privately owned. I emailed a bunch of people by addressing the reservation request to the owners directly and they always got back to me within a day or two and couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful! Many of them offer half or full board and usually the use of their kitchen to either join them or cook yourself.

Good luck!
