We are looking for an agriturismo stay in early April for 4 nights near Florence and Siena. My husband is a beekeeper so I would like to find one that produces honey so that he can speak "bees" with an Italian beekeeper. I would like to have breakfast included and maybe the option to rent bikes or ride horses. Anyone have any suggestions?
Have you tried "bees italy agrotourismo" or some variant? I just tried that - got a number of hits. Remember, all human knowledge is available now on some search engine.
Hi Cindy,
No bees, but a lovely Agritourismo in Siena. Agritourismo marciano.
Excellent accomodations, Sumptous breakfasts, an option to
enjoy their outstanding dinner meals, take a cooking class or
tour their winery. We are planning on returning there this fall.
Worth a look.
You can also walk to Siena or take a bike.
I found this experience on airbnb. Looks like you will have to email them directly to set something up as there is nothing scheduled.

Thanks everyone! I have used search engines to try to find one and they turn up many hits, but many of those don't actually have any hives. The leads you have provided are great! Thanks!
Try contacting an Italian beekeeping association:

(who knew there was a website devoted to honey travel?)
