agriturismo tuscany

I have searched through the answers about agriturismo stays in Tuscany and looked through the suggestions. Here is what I am specifically looking for. I am looking to stay south of Florence as we plan to tour several archeological sites (Roselle,, Volterra) and travel to towns with ceramics (Montelup and san lorenzo) as well as some wine tours. Would like to spend 200 per night, can go up a bit. would like countryside and possibly adding a single bed, cot or sofa bed for adult daughter who may join for several days.
It is positively overwhelming to go through agroturisom sites and other travel sites. any suggestions to narrow the potential places to stay would be most appreciated.

I may not be much help, but I'm going to try. I'm planning our first trip to Italy, but family members and friends have been numerous times. They love staying in at a place that is south of Florence. The website is www.masseto.it. Each time they come home, they say, "I wish we'd had more time at the farm." When I looked to see the distance from some of the places you've mentioned, it looks like they're about an hour away. I wish I could give you more information, but that's all I know until we spend time there next year.

I have stayed three times at the Palazzo a Merse (about 45 min south of Florence) and can't recommend it strongly enough. It is a BnB, not an official agriturismo, but is in the countryside and very quiet. It is family-owned and -run. They have a variety of apartments and you can opt for breakfast if you want. Beautiful grounds that are lovely relax in. It's easy to get to anywhere from Volterra to Sienna to Chianti wine country to Montepulciano, etc., etc. It's also not far from Rosia, which has a big grocery store and several restaurants and (coffee) bars, and close to Orgia, which has a well-known restaurant. It is about 5 min off the SS223 so very easy to find. Most recently we spent a week there in late April/early May.
