Hey guys, can anyone suggest an Agriturismo in the Voltera area of Tuscany. There were a lot…they all had good reviews…and they all looked charming. One side note is that I have a 9 month old. Any advice would be very appreciated!!!!
Well, it's not real close to Volterra but if you have a car with GPS it's no problem. We just stayed at Tenuta di Mensanello in Colle di Val d'Elsa in October. A beautiful place, very friendly, delicious food. It has a large indoor/outdoor eating area. After we arrived in the afternoon we just decided to hang out there and not go driving to some other town, it was that relaxing and lovely. They were crushing grapes when we got there. They also make olive oil and sell their products. The owner has a baby herself! I recommend this place. We went to Volterra the next day and loved it.
Thanks brother, I’m going to check that place out now. I appreciate the lead!!!!
I don't have an agriturismo to suggest in the area of Volterra, but I gave here plenty of websites where to search.
The area of Alta Val D'Elsa (Upper Elsa Valley), as suggested in the comment above, where Colle Val D'Elsa and Monteriggioni are located, just north of Siena, would be my choice however. Volterra is beautiful, but not ideal if you intend to take day trips to other towns in Tuscany. Volterra is a bit isolated from the rest and requires substantial driving on curvy roads to get in and out of.
PS: Voltera is spelled with two R's like strawbery, otherwise it is a gramatical eror.
Thanks brother, thanks really good insight. Thanks!
