We've had the blessing of having this experience in Sicily 10 years ago but now looking for some recommendations in the Tuscany / Rome area. Which are the best ones? How do you go about booking and is it best to have your own transportation? Last time family booked it as a surprise so I am new to booking them. Thanks in advance.

You’ll need your own transportation as most of them are not within walking distance of town. In Tuscany we stayed at Il Rigo and absolutely loved it. https://www.agriturismoilrigo.com/
