Agriturismo in Piedmonte - Langhe Area

Look at Villa Favorita, just a short distance out of Alba.

We are making our third trip to the Langhe this spring and really like the area and the people. If you do stay at Villa Favorita, try to make it to Osteria del Vicoletto. It is on a back street in Alba. We were referred there by Italians we met outside Parma at another great restaurant and were told is where the other chefs in the area take their meals. Indeed when we went there was a group of chefs at the table next to us.

Another option of where to stay is Serralunga d'Alba, Agriturismo Il Grappoli just outside the town. Serralunga is very small and quaint, surrounded by vineyards and wineries. There are three very good restaurants varying from casual to fine dining. The area is a good spot from which to explore the central part of the Langhe and the Barolo wines. There are trails throughout the area where you can hike through the vineyards to the neighboring villages.

Ann, this is fantastic. Agriturismo Il Grappoli looks like it has the DNA of farms we adored in tuscany/puglia and umbria. I'll mark down your restaurant suggestions as well. Many thanks and enjoy your trip!
