We'll be doing 8 nights in the Emilia Romagna, and we'll have a car.
We're thinking of doing a couple of nights each in Parma, Modena and Bologna, as well as perhaps a couple of nights near Ravenna or Rimini. We'd like at least one of those stays to be in an agriturismo.
We'll be there the last week of April.
Any recommendations? More interested in local culinary scene than in the pool. Love historic or older buildings.
We stayed at an Agriturismo in Fiorenzuola d’Arda, just northwest of Parma. It was nothing fancy, but very comfortable . It is a working farm centered around vegetable growing. The owner/chef is personable and very accomplished. We usually try to find restaurants for our meals, but found hers to be so good we ate dinner there every night. Breakfast is included in the room cost. Message me if you would like more information.
Not exactly an agriturismo, but Castello Tabiano in the hillside of Parma could be nice.
In the province of Modena some suggestions could be: Il Luoghetto, Podere Prasiano, Mulino Vivi, Aggazzotti, Rossi-Barattini.
