agriturismo booked: Belmonte Vacanze - any 'red flags?' seems like a good find

I just booked this agriturismo for my family of 5 in mid June. This is our first trip to Europe as a family and we are planning this without any travel agency, so I'm a little anxious about it and just want to get some feedback.

The place is very reasonably priced and somewhat centrally located. (~1h 10-20mins drive to either Florence or Sienna).
Only 30mins drive to Volterra. Is there such a thing as 'too remote' when staying in Tuscany?

Anything I should know about this location? Any red flags? The place seems so reasonably priced, I'm thinking there has to be a catch. There are good reviews on google.

Any feedback much appreciated.

No 1st hand experience, but I suspect it is rather remote for the typical tourist who is focused on 'seeing the tourist stuff', so demand may not be as great as for places closer to the tourist hotspots, so the rates reflect that.

That and $5 will get you a coffee at SBUX

Looks Kosher to me. (I grew up in Tuscany so I'd like to think I can spot a fake - but I'll give them a ring if you want).

I also think the location is fine - you're close to San Gimignano, you can get to Siena quite easily - drop down to Certaldo and head for Poggibonsi.

Florence isn't bad either - and you could leave the car in Empoli and go in by train - as you could for Pisa too.

And the area there is great - you have San Vivaldo nearby, an old monastery with a path through the woods following the 'stations of the cross", each one marked with a small building. Some good restaurants, like the one at Castagno, and at Iano - and Volterra is close by too... you'll be fine! Have a great time.

Thank you all so much for the replies. Especially obviously Dan giving your unique insights. Gratzie!

We will have just come from Rome and Venice and I think we will be looking forward to a down-shift in speed.
