We have 2 days to relax after a 17 day Italy tour in early Oct that ends in Rome. We are looking for a village, coastal community, or farm/ vineyard about 1-2 hrs outside of Rome. Any suggestions for a 2 day stay.
Most agriturismos will require a car
Will you rent a car?
Are you flying home from Rome?
You will need to be IN your departure city the night before flight.
We’ve stayed twice in one of the two apartments above Chicca’s Casa Toscana home in Castagneto Carducci, among her olive trees and vegetable and herb gardens. Each has a clothes washing machine, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and guests are welcome to harvest from the garden. Trains from Rome, with one connection, arrive at Donoratico, 3 miles away. Donoratico sits right on the coast of southern Tuscany with a fine beach, and Super Tuscan wineries in the Bolgheri region are just down the road.
She does cooking classes and wine tours, too.

or farm/ vineyard
There is a wine producing area close to Rome, known as the Castelli Romani https://www.wine-searcher.com/regions-castelli+romani
The views of the hills are quite nice.
