I'm looking for a country base near Bologna or somewhere between Cinque Terre and Venice as we drive in June. Two families with teen girls. FARM is good. Restaurant on site is good. OR, a great village reccomendation in Emilia Romagna for 2 nights.

one good opption is a small town called Fabbrico.Its in Emilia Romagna ,5 min from autostrada(expressway)to Venice,and in the middle of all you looking to visit.Actually im writting from this town whichn is nice and quiet.for more info call this hotel 00390522665240 or 00390522650033 e-mail [email protected] luck and enjoy

A few years ago, we stayed at Il Palazzo, an agriturismo in the town of Brisighella. It was clean, attractive and very reasonably priced. There are apartments as well as rooms, and you can get dinner there. Additionally, in the town, there are two hotels with excellent restaurants. From that base we were able to do day trips to Bologna, Faenza, Ravenna, and Ferrara. We found Il Palazzo in the Karen Brown, "Italy: B&B" book, one of our favorite sources for lodgings.
