Agritourismo near Volterra or San Gimignano

I am traveling with my 13 and 10 year old kids in April and have a quote from Podere Marcampo but am wondering if anyone has somewhere else they love that may be a bit cheaper (lodging is ending up more expensive on our trip than I hoped). Must include breakfast and would like the option of paying for dinner there as well. I picked near those towns due to planned day trips to Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Florence and Sienna and then driving to Venice to return the rental car.

Likewise favorite, affordable places in Rome near the Forum/Colosseum and Venice near San Marco (places with breakfast, wifi). I have preliminary reservations in both places but are near just above/below $200 a night.

Thanks!

Regarding Venice, you should stay away from San Marco which is jam packed with tourists. There are many wonderful neighborhoods in Venice and it’s a small city, easy to walk from one to another.

Google Villa Arnilu and check out their choices. We stayed there (with a car) and saw the places you mention plus some.

We really enjoyed Agriturismo Marciano in Siena and Hotel Smeraldo in Rome. Both had great food and reasonable prices. I visited the Siena B&B in March with my 75 year-old mother-in-law, and was so impressed I'm returning there with my husband and son this fall. This B&B is a farm and winery and they had some of the best food I've ever tasted (and I love to cook).

I plan to use the bus and rail system to do day trips to San Gimignano, then will head to Florence and do day trips to Lucca and Pisa from there. Enjoy your trip.

We also enjoyed Hotel Campiello in Venice--huge room with a delicious breakfast at a good price. Close to the sites and not noisy at all.

Friends recommended Agritourismo Bardeggiano in Colle Di Val d'Elsa, near San Gimignano. We're planning to stay there. I have had good, helpful email responses from there.
