Agritourismo in Tuscany & Umbria

Hi All,
I'm looking for a great agritourismo experience in the Tuscany area as well as the Umbria region that would preferably offer a swimming pool, farm animals, restaurant for some meals, activities, etc. We'll be traveling as a family which includes 6 adults and four grand children ages 7 through 13. We have all traveled in Italy before. This is for June, 2021---never too early to plan when it comes to Italy---right.:) Has anyone had great experiences? Thanks in advance.

Yes- to both! In Tuscany we stayed at Fonte Bertusi for 3 nights and it was absolutely spectacular. Near the town of Pienza which is really lovely. They also have a farm to table type restaurant right next door. They have a pool and free laundry also. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Breakfast is great. https://www.fontebertusi.it/ I don't remember any animals except cats, and the restaurant had dogs outside to greet us. They can help arrange other stuff (lots of suggestions on their site for activities).

In Umbria we stayed at Locanda Rosati: in https://www.locandarosati.it/en/ Fabulous host, you can stay there for dinner if you'd like, or head to Orvieto nearby. They have a pool as well and a great breakfast.

Have a wonderful trip!

In 2008 we stayed at Casa Rondini (http://www.casarondini.com/index.htm) near Fabro Scala and loved it. They have a pool and 4 large units and my memory says all units are 2 bedroom, with kitchens. It's a few miles easterly of Fabro Scala so you'd need to drive to restaurants and grocery stores. I recall at least one restaurant between Casa Rondini and Montegabbione (delightfully small hill town) where we ate. The grocery store and bank in Fabro Scala down by the auto strada served us well.

When we were there the owner would cook feasts several nights a week (for a fee). Well worth the investment if he still does it.

As for farm animals, I only remember chickens, but they and the farm provided fresh eggs and vegetables that we used for breakfasts nearly every day. It's an organic farm, grapes, olives, and saffron, plus assorted veggies.

We like QUIET places and loved this place. We still email them a couple times a year and they remember us.
