agritourismo, hotel or b&b???

my husband and i will travel around tuscany by car for approx 5 days. i think we've narrowed it down to the pienza, montalcino, area. should we use siena as home base or stay in an agriturismo in smaller town?

i've read that La Traverse is amazing in pienza, any other suggestions on accomodations or towns not to miss in tuscany???

If you like quiet evenings alone with some wine you picked up that day, the agritourismo would be perfect.

If you will be lost without nightlife, evening strolls, people watching, sipping wine after dinner in a cafe, stay in a bigger town such as Sienna.

Visit San Gimignano & Montepulciano nr Pienza. Siena is a lovely base and worth exploring but you may have difficulty trying to park car.

is a wonderful vineyard about 3 km outside Montalcino. You will need a car but there are many little towns very close (within a half hour)
Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, Sant Antimo, Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Buonconvento, Murlo. The driving is easy and the food and wine in
each town is special. If you want more information e-mail [email protected]
