Hi Travelers,
Having some hard time finding a way to get from Agrigento to Ragusa, bus or train, trying to complete my itinerary for my trip coming up end of October. I used the app Rome2Rio but apparently by trains there are too many transfers, by bus it’s not very clear how long it would take to get to Ragusa. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I think you'll find it easier to approach Ragusa from Siracusa. Just as a general rule (not limited to Italy), getting to small cities is usually easiest if you are starting from a major city in the same area.
Don't use Rome2Rio for train information; use trenitalia.com. For buses, Rome2Rio isn't really good for much more than providing the name of the bus company serving the route, though sometimes its info on where you'll need to transfer is accurate. Anything it tells you about fares, travel times or frequencies is highly suspect.
Thank you! I agree with you, much easier to get from Syracuse rather than from Agrigento, besides I’m more into traveling by train than by buses as I get sick! My ideas were from Palermo to get to Trapani by bus and then to continue to Agrigento, Ragusa, Syracuse and ending my trip in Catania! Now I’ll have to do from Palermo to Catania, Syracuse for a few days and to Ragusa for a night or 2 and back to Catania to catch my flight! Oh well! I’ll check the trains schedules! 🙏🌸🌸
